Our Ministries

Wildside is a hub of four distinct ministries.  We offer free summer day camp, small groups for kids, leadership training, and outreach events.

Camp Wild

Camp Wild is a free, four-week, day camp hosted in July and August.  Camp includes daily lunches, limited transportation, and daily snacks.

At Camp Wild, kids will learn about Jesus, missionaries, and other cultures.  Campers will have fun by riding our 600-foot-long zip-line, playing mini golf, swimming in the creek, taking hayrides, visiting cultural learning centers, creating art, enjoying inner-tube rides, playing stage games, earning prizes, and hanging out with friends and counselors.

Small Groups

During the school year, kids ages 5 to 12 are invited to our Small Group Hangouts.  Here they can spend time with friends, play games, sing and dance to the Lord, learn about Jesus, eat snacks, and win prizes.

Small Groups meet on Tuesdays.  We currently have two Small Groups, with over 50 children enrolled.  Small Groups were formed as a response to COVID-19.

The Crew

The Crew is our unique Student Leadership training program.  This is for teens and pre-teens who have matured in the Wildside ministry.

We invite students who display leadership potential and mentor them as they go through middle and high school.  Our main focus is to show these youths how to apply the leadership principles found in God’s Word.

The Crew has four different levels of leadership- Black Bear, Brown Bear, Grizzly Bear, and Kodiak.

Outreach

For years Wildside has hosted monthly party outreach events throughout the school year.  We pack out the Gospel Trinity Center with 50 to 70 kids at each event.

Since COVID-19, these indoor events have been on hold.  We have teamed up with Hagerstown Christian Church for an outdoor Trunk-or-Treat.
